CATCHING UP WITH COMEDY NIGHT COMEDIAN TIM DIMOND, '04
BC: What have you been up to the past year? TD: This past year I have been working hard at advancing my comedy career. I have been playing at bars and clubs all around Pittsburgh, doing 2-5 spots a week, since May. It has been paying off, and I will be on the Improv's 2008 schedule. I’m also finishing up my schooling at Carnegie Mellon University and should be graduating in May. BC: What are your memories of Canevin? What does the school and its teachers mean to you? TD: I remember Canevin when it still was "Canevin". Oh, those were the good ol' days. Canevin prepared me for the real world in more ways then I could have foreseen and I owe it all to the fantastic teaching staff, which hasn't changed in 20 years. BC: What was it like to be part of the past two Comedy Nights? TD: Both shows were a blast. It's always an honor to work with such talented comedians as Jesse, Darrin and Justin. The crowd was amazing as well. It's a very fun role reversal from being forced to listen to your teachers talk all day to commanding all of the attention.BC: Thoughts on the upcoming Comedy Night...What should people expect? TD: People should expect an evening of hilarity and merriment. And they should expect to see plenty of new material from yours truly (Mr. Sinagra’s approval pending of course).
